Dr. Elias is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who has 9 years of complex surgical experience in the US Army. He was born and raised in southeastern Michigan and graduated from the College of Idaho with a BS in Biology. He completed dental school at the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry where he was accepted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honors Society. Upon graduation, Dr. Elias was commissioned as a Captain in the US Army and began his 48-month Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency in Honolulu, HI.

Dr. Elias worked as a staff surgeon and clinic professor for the OMS residency training program at Madigan Army Medical Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.  He helped train OMS residents, ENT residents, PA students, and Army Medics in managing complex trauma, orthognathic, cosmetic, and oral/facial reconstruction. After being promoted to Major, he was the Department Chief during the COVID pandemic, responsible for the health and welfare of the OMS patients and employees. During this time at JBLM, Major Elias was the only head and neck surgeon for the 147th Field Hospital. For 3 years, he maintained OMS/H&N training and capability for rapid deployment to austere environments.

In his free time, Dr. Elias spends time with his family – wife, Lisa; baby, Samuel; and dog, Elwood. He enjoys many outlets to maintain his health and fitness including exercise, jujitsu, hiking, traveling, and hunting.

“After nine years of service, my wife and I are excited to settle down and become part of the Omaha and Council Bluffs communities. I look forward to using my diverse surgical and military experiences to provide the highest level of understanding and care to each patient I’m fortunate to meet.”
